Website Cordinator – Job Description
The Website Coordinator's job is to maintain the Vermont Area Al-Anon/Alateen website at www.vermontalanonalateen.org.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Keep on-line meeting lists up to date from change notices, usually given by e-mail.
- Look after the Events Calendar, a Google feature embedded in the website.
- Monitor data collected for the site by Google Analytics and share patterns found.
Secondary (optional) Responsibilities:
- Improve functionality (carefully)
- Review and refresh content periodically
Helpful Skills:
- Coding – html, css, javascript, Dreamweaver (or any code or web-page editor)
- Server – File transfers (ftp), directory organization
- Tools – Google Calendar, pdf generator
- Advanced – (useful but not required) MySQL admin, SQL commands
The Website Coordinator is a voting member of the Area World Service Committee and should attend all meetings as well as Spring and Fall Assembly. If the Coordinator cannot attend a meeting, the he/she should send a written report to the Area Chair.
