Archives Coordinator – Job Description

 

The Area Archivist is the person responsible for Coordinating the activities of the Area Archives Committee. The Archives Committee collects, preserves and organizes information, recordings and artifacts which are of historical significance to Al-Anon in Vermont. Anything that gives clues to “how we did it” is archival material. The Archivist is responsible to make this information available (within the framework of Al-Anon Traditions whenever possible), to members and researchers.

The Archive Coordinator is a voting member of the Area World Service Committee and should attend all meetings as well as Spring and Fall Assembly. If the Archives Coordinator cannot attend a meeting, the Archive Coordinator should send a written report to the Area Chair and Area Secretary.

Expenses such as postage, phone calls and actual gas cost may be submitted to the Area treasurer for reimbursement monthly.
